Commercial: Lanvin Fall 2010 RTW
From the beautifully cut, black, seamless dresses, to the amazing embroidery and fur, Lanvin's Fall 2010 runway show was definitely one to remember. The cut and construction of his garments were highly noted in his Fall 2010 RTW line. Lanvin gave us a show stopper that will not soon be forgotten.

You know, it's an amazing thing when you find a new designer. You marvel at his handy-work, envy his creative mind, and lust after his creations as they are walked gracefully down the runway. That was my exact state of mind when I found Mr. Wolfgang Joop's Fall 2010 RTW (ready to wear) line on Style.com.Even without knowing the reviews for his show, it is obvious to say it was a MAJOR success!!!
5star stuff!

Episode 2: so ur yoda and i'm like a jedi, right?
- You must take a business class in college- Really I was already planning too, but thinking about it, and I mean REALLY thinking about it, it's true. If you want to be a fashion designer, YOU are going to be running YOUR own business. As far as finding people to assist you in making clothes (ur employees), setting up a place to work (ur place of work), and figuring out what to do should you wish to expand, and overseeing all of your garments. That is a BUSINESS. So it's important you know what you are doing!
- Grow a Backbone- You are going into a growing and expanding industry, there are MANY people who want to go exactly where You are going, and when it comes to either Them or YOU, who you gonna pick? I'm sorry, but I know where I'M trying to get to, and I will Not let someone I don't know sidetrack me from getting there. And if I do know you... my humblest apologies but I'm thinking about me and my career. I'm not trying to be mean, but think about it, would They pick You over them?
- Be a Bitch- Ok, that was straight from Mrs. Brenda's mouth (that woman is Gold). Yoda told me (Mrs. Brenda) that some of the designers she has worked for, and some of the people she has worked with, can be TOTAL B*TCHES. So you need to be a b*%$ at times as well. Be respectful (i mean, ur not trying to make Enemies), but know when to stick up for yourself! And KNOW when to turn that b!tchy attitude On and Off.
- This Business, will wear you out!!!- The fashion business can be... haha who am I kidding??? Scratch that... The fashion World IS a competitive place!!! Not only are you working with a variety of people who will either try to make you or break you (most likely try to break you), but there is a LOT of running around, late hours, and a long hard schedule that WILL wear you out at times... a lot of the time. Remember, this industry is for people who are Serious. If you don't have your head on straight you will get trampled on.
Ok... reading through this, I know to most it sounds a little... harsh? and I'm not trying to scare you. But it's true! It is a rough business with TONS of people! It can be intimidating.... but it's not impossible.
You know, with all this compitition, I'm not sure if I should share a this information with you. Ya know? With all I said about 'be a bitch' and 'I'm not gonna let some fool I don't know step over me' stuff. Buuutttt~~~ I guess since you made time to read this, I should! And I have. So your welcome!!! :D
Well, this is one of my first few steps in becoming a designer. Glad I could share it! (and should I become rrreeeaaalllyyy famous in the future, this blog would make for a Great interview!!!) !!!
Wish me Luck!
Lauren~
